Introducing the
Rapid Deployment Flood Wall
Geocell Systems is a company specializing in research and development, marketing, manufacturing and distribution of modular sand-confinement grid systems. Its products are at the forefront of a flood-fighting revolution that will see slow, labor-intensive sandbag techniques replaced by faster, structurally superior methods during flood emergencies.
Geocell Systems Inc. designed, developed and manufactures the Rapid Deployment Flood Wall (RDFW). The RDFW is a rapidly deployed protective flood barrier. Geocell Systems currently advises the US Army Corps of Engineers during presidentially-declared flood disasters when emergency incidents require RDFW technology. RDFW is the next generation in temporary emergency flood control protection and is the most effective flood fighting tool available to first responders.
States, cities and counties across the nation and across the globe are witnessing skyrocketing recovery costs from natural disasters. State and local governments lack the time and resources to effectively prevent loss and devastation caused by flooding and storm surges. Prior to the introduction of RDFW, temporary emergency measures such as sand bags were ineffective because they were labor intensive, slow to install and lacked the structural integrity to effectively handle water flow and static load forces.
RDFW has been accepted by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), following stringent laboratory, field and pilot testing at the USACE Engineering Research and Development Center in Vicksburg MS (ERDC) The results in the field testing were compelling – RDFW performance excelled, where sand bag and alternative methods failed. RDFW has been successfully deployed in recently declared disasters in Jamestown ND, Minot ND, Lamoure ND, Mississippi River and Tributary Flooding in Missouri, and in Cedar Springs, Utah.
Geocell Systems' RDFW is structurally strong, quick to deploy and cost effective.
